Small Business- Lending Manager

The Small Business Lending Team delivers NDC’s core small business services, including both SBA 7a guarantee financing through Grow America Fund (NDC’s SBLC affiliate) and non-SBA loan products for Community Impact Loan Fund (NDC’s non-SBA small business lending affiliate). This position centers on the referral, sourcing and structuring of small business financing transactions. The LM will work under the general supervision of the Director of Lending, exercising significant latitude in the use of initiative and independent judgement in the performance of his or her responsibilities.
The position will service a region covering multiple states and communities with deals to be sourced, at any given time, from NDC small business lending’s east, central or west regions. These communities may change, as necessitated, within the normal course of business. Furthermore, the job involves some travel to visit potential borrowers and to attend internal meetings.

Assistant Field Director- West Team

NDC seeks to add another full-time Assistant Field Director as we expand our work in lending, education, and development services to BIPOC individuals and within low-income and BIPOC communities.  Assistant Directors work closely with and support Field Directors and other NDC staff representing and delivering NDC’s core services, including technical assistance, place-based capacity- building/networking, grant writing, Fundraising, small business lending, program development, program implementation, impact reporting and support services, to governments and non-profit corporations. The position is in the Office of the President and will report directly to the Managing Senior Director for Special Programs. The Assistant Director will support efforts in; Grant writing, grant administration, network building, capital raising, program implementation, impact reporting, small business lending referrals/origination and support, and client work nation-wide but starting with a concentration in the Pacific Northwest and Northern California, with heavy concentration in the Greater Sea-Tac, Eastern Washington and the Communities located in and surrounding Monterey County California markets. The position will require travel. Candidates currently located in the Seattle metropolitan area are preferred, though candidates in the regions proximate to Western Washington will be considered. Field Director - East Coast

Field Director (Directors) deliver NDC’s core services, including technical advisory services and capacity building, to local governments and non-profit corporations. NDC Field Directors provide expert technical advisory and development services for commercial and residential development and small business expansion. NDC’s services and products are used to leverage private investment and make determinations for appropriately sizing public financial incentives in order to attract maximum private investment.

NDC seeks to add another full-time Field Director for its eastern United States team. A candidate based in the New York metropolitan area is preferred but not required. The position still will require travel.

Project Manager- Social Infrastructure

NDC seeks to add a Project Manager to its Social Infrastructure team. The Project Manager will work closely with the Senior Director and other members of the team on project management assignments related to the design, financing, construction and operations of social infrastructure assets. These projects are typically sponsored by other nonprofit organizations and/or municipalities which request NDC to serve as project manager, and sometimes as financier and owner of the asset. The types of projects vary, but might include affordable housing, public facilities such as City Halls and libraries, parking garages, and university laboratories and office buildings, among others. Currently the majority of these projects are in the Northeast and Caribbean (Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands) but NDC expects to grow this work in other parts of the country. The position will require some travel to project sites, more so during construction. Candidates currently located in the Tri-State Area (New York, New Jersey, Connecticut) are preferred, though others candidates will be considered. Assistant Controller – Small Business Lending

The Assistant Controller’s responsibilities will include working with a team of professionals to ensure quarterly and year end reporting is complete, accurate, and timely. Those responsibilities include preparing and reviewing internal accounting records and schedules, reviewing detailed loan performance schedules prepared by external users for accuracy and communicating with external stakeholders, as well as providing support to program management team members. The Assistant Controller will report directly to the NDC Controller and work closely with the Program Manager and Chief Financial Officer.

The Closing Manager is responsible for ensuring loans are closing within the parameters of each CILF program or the SBA guidelines. Multicultural Investment Team- Assistant Field Director

NDC seeks to add another full-time Assistant Field Director (Assistant Director).  Assistant Directors assist Field Directors and other NDC staff in the delivery of NDC’s core services, including technical assistance and capacity-building, to local businesses, government agencies, and non-profit corporations. Small Business Lending- Program Manager

The Program Manager will work independently, with NDC staff and with external partners and clients to develop and deliver NDC’s core small business lending services, including operationalizing expanded opportunities for small business/non-profit access to capital, interfacing with lenders/investors, and coordinating expert small business technical assistance.  Our highest priority is, in a responsible sustainable manner, to maximize our impact on mitigating racial and economic inequalities by providing access to capital and technical assistance to low-income entrepreneurs, minority/woman-owned businesses and non-profits that serve communities of color and low-income.  The Program Manager position will combine program and transaction management, portfolio strategy development and implementation, project management, staff/client training, and programmatic compliance and reporting, as well as investor/client-facing management of financing products and projects that revitalize under-served communities and foster sustainable economic equality and growth.
