Gastonia, NC – The North Carolina Housing Finance Agency (NCHFA) named our Corporate Equity Fund (CEF) project, Gateway Village their November 2009 “development of the month.”

Gastonia Mayor Jennie Stultz attended a ribbon-cutting barbecue with tenants on August 14, 2009 to celebrate the opening of the 40-unit senior complex.  Also in attendance were representatives of the North Carolina Housing Finance Authority; Partnership Property Management, which manages the community; project developer Western North Carolina Housing Partnership (WNCHP); and members of the City of Gastonia public works, fire and police departments.  This was the second housing development project for WNCHP; their first was another CEF project, the 48-unit The Park at Cline Village. Gateway Village follows the same design motif as Cline Village: two-story wood frame residential buildings with partial brick veneer and an elevator.

As of the ribbon-cutting, Gateway Village had 35 occupied units and management was reviewing applications for the remaining five.
