Capital Access Fund of Greater Cleveland

Helping Minority Businesses Gain Access to Capital

The Capital Access Fund of Greater Cleveland (CAFGC) is a unique collaboration between the National Development Council, National Urban League’s Urban Empowerment Fund (NULUEF), Urban League of Greater Cleveland, Morgan Stanley and other government and philanthropic partners whose mission is to help increase access to capital to minority businesses. The CAFGC is a programmatic initiative that seeks to provide African American and other minority business owners to Greater Cleveland with access to capital and pre- and post-loan counseling to ensure the success of their business.

As a lender focused on creating jobs and wealth among minority communities, the program seeks to provide minority business owners with the support and capital they need to sustain and grow their business. The program offers the following services and terms designed to meet these goals:

  • Pre- and post-loan counseling and technical assistance through the Urban League of Greater Cleveland and National Development Council
  • Properly structured financing designed to meet the needs and capacity of the Applicant
  • Loan terms that extends up to 7 years that includes interest only payments for the first 3 years resulting in lower debt service
  • Loan amounts up to $150,000
  • Loan uses including working capital, receivable financing, machinery and equipment and tenant and site improvements
