During the NDC 50th Celebration at Kings Theatre, NDC honored BB&T, now Truist, for its work with NDC since 1997. This continuing partnership with NDC and NDC Training has helped to build the capacity of over 8,000 professionals in nonprofit development corporations, small business development centers, CDFIs, minority business accelerators and state and local governments.
These professionals have worked across BB&T’s footprint to develop projects and programs that have improved the lives of thousands of Americans through job and business creation, affordable housing development and sustained neighborhood revitalization. In the coming year, Truist’s partnership with NDC will advance work on the transformation of our Economic Development Finance curriculum to an online format that can reach even more communities and the professionals who serve them.
