During the NDC 50th Celebration at the Kings Theatre, NDC had the profound privilege to honor James Roszkowski, President of Discover Bank for his leadership in Discover Bank’s continuing commitment to help improve, support and give back to all the neighborhoods, communities and businesses they serve. It is this commitment that has brought NDC and Discover Bank together for several promising community focused ventures.
First, Discover Bank has partnered with the State of Delaware and the Longwood Foundation in providing capital to NDC’s community development lender, GAF, for below-market loans to small businesses in low-income areas.
Second, Discover Bank has invested capital in NDC so that we can finance the Delaware Innovation Space. This trail-blazing project will nurture science and technology start-ups and help transform them into industry-leading enterprises, creating high-quality and well-paying jobs for the people of Wilmington and the State of Delaware.
And lastly, Discover Bank is investing in NDC’s Community Impact Loan Fund so we can provide affordable debt to develop the Delaware Fintech Center, a site that will house classroom space for the University of Delaware, offices for non-profits and incubator space for early stage companies on The University’s STAR Campus in Wilmington
