Yesterday, NDC’s President, Robert (Bob) W. Davenport, was presented with NDC’s Award for Lifetime Achievement in Training during the organization’s annual management meeting. The Lifetime Achievement in Training Award is presented to NDC employees who exemplify exceptional service, leadership and commitment throughout their career to NDC’s mission as exemplified through contributions to NDC’s comprehensive program of capacity-building training in economic, housing and community development finance.

Community Development Finance Training for Foundations courses are designed to equip foundations with the tools and techniques to make mission investments that achieve results. The training explores the financial analysis techniques to prudently utilize philanthropic dollars for projects that improve low and moderate-income communities.
NDC Corporate Equity Fund XII announced a LIHTC closing for a $9.5 million new construction of Market Street Lofts, the project will create 45 units of workforce housing. Completed in partnership with Community Action Agency of Columbiana County and Miller Valentine, this will be the first family-oriented tax credit development in East Liverpool in over 15 years.
NDC Corporate Equity Fund X announced a LIHTC closing of a $7.6 million new construction project that will create twenty eight- two and three bedroom townhome units. The project, Mack Ashland II was completed in partnership with Southwest Housing Solutions, and will address a need for affordable rental housing in Detroit, MI.
So far in 2016, NDC's open ED101-Economic Development Finance classes have reached capacity.
