NDC’s GAF Delivers for Two Physicians with Healthy and Growing Private Practices

Pediatrician Robyn Cadet, MD and Podiatrist Neal Marks, DPM, with practices located in Nassau County, Long Island, NY and Cleveland, OH, respectively, are miles apart in location and specialty but shared a common need: financing to help them expand their busy medical practices.  And with help from NDC’s Grow America Fund (GAF), they are both well on their way to accomplishing just that.

Dr. Marks started his comprehensive foot care practice over 17 years ago on Cleveland’s West Side. His practice expanded to include two additional full-time doctors,  two additional full-time and two part-time staff people, and a second location across town- an expansion funded by a GAF loan through the Grow Cuyahoga County Fund.  With his new location up and running, Dr. Marks turned his attention to his leased West Side space, where he was experiencing difficulty with deferred maintenance. Dr. Marks made the decision to build a new office in the same neighborhood and for a second time, received financing from GAF through the Grow Cuyahoga Fund.  Today, Dr. Marks’s practice is thriving in its newly-built home. With both office locations stable for the long-term, Dr. Marks and his team can focus on providing high quality care for their patients.

Dr. Cadet, a practicing pediatrician since 2003, faced a challenge of her own when the physician managing the medical practice where she worked retired. With a well-established patient base of her own, Dr. Cadet made the decision to start her own practice and take on her retiring partner’s patients. Through the Grow Nassau County Fund, Dr. Cadet secured a new space for her new practice: Child Life Pediatrics, PC.  With kid-friendly décor and state-of-the-art equipment, Dr. Cadet provides comprehensive pediatric care and early morning and late evening hours for busy families. She also encourages pediatric health education and focuses her outreach efforts on a new topic each month, making these resources available to her patients and their parents in the office and online. Dr. Cadet is well-positioned to keep Nassau County’s kids healthy and growing themselves for years to come.
